Such matter as health is very important and it is not important whether you are student or not, but a lot of students live far from their homes and in case of some disease there aren’t lovely parents who can take care of them, to go to drug store and to buy necessary medicines. Student should do it by them selves. If student has health insurance, he can get necessary treatment at college or university health center and health insurance covers all expenses connected with treatment. If student doesn’t have such health insurance, he or she will have to spend money and the sum can be bigger than amount of cash available in student’s pocket.
That’s why colleges and universities require health insurance before the enrollment. If a student has own health insurance and if it corresponds to college or university requirements, then it is accepted. If a student doesn’t have health insurance at the moment of enrollment, college or university authorities provide students with their own health insurance plans and their cost is included in the total fee for education.
